Shireen Abu Aqleh - Al Jazeera Satellite Channel Correspondent

Shireen Abu Aqleh is best known as AlJazeera Satellite Channel Correspondent in the Palestinian Occupied Territories and Israel. She has spent the last ten years reporting the on going conflict with all its aspects : political, social and economical, making features, as well as interviewing newsmakers, senior officials and personalities in the region.Shireen started and was one of the founders of the Voice of Palestine (PBC) as a radio correspondent and presenter, since it was established in 1994 with the return and the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority, and for four years, she was one of the few glamorous news, programs and talk show presenter. In Monte Carlo Radio, she gave daily reports as occupied Palestinian territories correspondent from 2000 until 2003.In 2001, Shireen was awarded the Dubai Press Club, and was named a Media Personality of the year. Three years later, Libyan President honored Shireen by presenting her the medal of courage for her coverage of the Palestinian second Intifada...was Born in Jerusalem in 1971, Shireen speaks Arabic and English and have a good command of French, was a lecturer in the Birzeit University, Media Institute for which she worked between 2004 and 2006.
